Carl Kleiner
“Rita was born in 1985 in Leiria, Portugal.
Finished her degree in Industrial Design in Esad, Caldas da Rainha (PT) in 2008.
Focused in food and eating design for her graduation project, she moved to The Netherlands in the same year for an internship with the eating designer Marije Vogelzang at her studio Proef, in Amsterdam.
Under a founding program (Inov Art) from a Portuguese art association, the internship in Proef extended for about a year full of new experiences.
In October 2009, she won an international competition and shown one of her projects during the Design Week as part of the Container Ground Exhibition sponsored by Dezeen and the Japanese Design Association.
In 2010 collaborated with Code Magazine in Amsterdam, as “Experience Designer” for 5 months and since the Summer had been focused in her own projects.
Apart from Design, she has been working in Photography, focusing her attention in developing visual concepts. In the meantime she started to write to a Portuguese Magazine called PARQ”.
